In electronic security, brand names can change over time, but strong engineering platforms tend to endure. That is exactly the story behind Radionix. While the name may sound new to some and nostalgic to others, today’s Radionix is not a startup entering the market from scratch. It is the latest chapter in a long lineage of intrusion technology that has moved through legacy brands, Bosch ownership, and now an independent future.
For many longtime security professionals, the roots of this story go back to two well-known names: Detection Systems and Radionics. Rick, Tom, and Brad explain in this short discussion >>
The major turning point came when Bosch acquired Detection Systems in 2001. What much of the market came to know for years as Bosch intrusion was built on a platform that already had decades of dealer recognition, application experience, and installed base behind it.

Fast-forward to 2025, and another structural change reshaped the brand story. Bosch’s former security and communications technology product business completed its separation and began operating independently as KEENFINITY Group on July 1, 2025. Shortly after that transition, KEENFINITY officially launched Radionix as its new intrusion systems brand, describing it as a fresh take on a trusted name that had already been known in the market for decades.
That is what makes the Radionix story important for integrators. This is not about abandoning the past. It is about reintroducing a respected intrusion identity while carrying forward the technology foundation that dealers already know. The G Series remains central to that message, and the Remote Security Manager app extends that value with mobile control for arming, disarming, notifications, user management, door control, and supported live camera views.
There is also meaningful continuity in where that support and engineering legacy lives. While the outward-facing brand is evolving, the organizational knowledge, regional presence, and support infrastructure behind the product family have not simply disappeared.
So what does that mean in practical terms? It means integrators who knew Radionics, Detection Systems, or Bosch intrusion are not being asked to relearn an entirely foreign ecosystem. Instead, they are seeing a legacy platform refreshed for a new era of marketing, product positioning, and continued development. And for newer dealers, Radionix offers the opportunity to enter a mature intrusion platform with established pedigree, modern integration capabilities, and a story that is rooted in proven performance rather than hype.
For Chesapeake & Midlantic Marketing (MidChes) customers, the takeaway is simple: the name on the manufacturer's door may be changing, but the mission is not. The same need for application guidance, bill-of-material support, product availability, and design assistance remains. Radionix represents a reintroduction, not a reset — a return to a familiar name backed by a long history of intrusion innovation and a clear path forward.
