The Security Technology Forum 2022 has wrapped and now it's time to watch the phenomenal presentations if you were unable to attend, starting with the last from Wednesday afternoon, October 26.
In this session Dr. Danny Kent, President of MechaSpin, provides a clear and simplified background of Lidar technology and how that technology is being used to improve security and safety by detection of presence, determination of direction of travel, and more rich data collection that is critical to a variety of security, safety, and operations applications. It is also used for other interesting applications such as forklift driving safety and crop harvesting accuracy. We hope you gain as much from this presentation from Dr. Kent as those in attendance did.
Orion Entrance Control partnered with Dr. Kent's company, MechaSpin, to create two new products to compliment their well-known, custom-is-standard, made in the USA turnstile solutions: SmartGate and DoorGuard.
SmartGate uses Lidar technology to open gates when an someone approaches it in the proper direction. When passed by, rather than approached, the gate will remain closed. DoorGuard uses the same Lidar technology to detect tailgating through an entrance or controlled exit.
