At GSX 2018 we talked with Tim Claus and Jeff Drews to talk about the importance of integrating perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS) to leading video management system platforms, particularly Milestone and Genetec.

In this short video, watch a demonstration of the INTREPID RPM II / Genetec Security Center interface, showcasing how easily a user can assign detection zones of any length to correspond to a site’s physical layout, and configure alarms from INTREPID perimeter detection sensors to trigger cameras or other security devices.

The Southwest Microwave INTREPID™ RPM II plugin enables seamless integration between INTREPID Series II perimeter intrusion detection systems and the Genetec Security Center unified platform, allowing operators to receive instant notification of intrusion alarms or tamper attempts with live video verification for quick response to perimeter breach or sabotage.

This advanced plugin reports device status, event and alarm information from INTREPID MicroPoint™ II fence detection system, MicroTrack™ II buried cable detection system and MicroWave 330 Digital Link through Security Center, optimizing flexibility and control for a range of security-sensitive perimeter protection applications.

With systems integration as a prominent topic at GSX 2018 for security integrators and end users alike, Southwest Microwave provided us with an opportunity to not only hear what's new in perimeter detection technologies, and also to see how an alarm is triggered in Genetec as well as a guided demonstration of the integration capabilities at the Milestone exhibit.
