When a serious incident occurs, reducing investigation time is critical.

Bosch video analytics and Forensic Search allow investigators to quickly search for very specific details and behaviors.

With video analytics embedded onboard Bosch security cameras, looking for specific violations is simplified with Forensic Search.

These detailed searches, known as Forensic Search, can be accomplished in several Bosch video software platforms including enterprise class Bosch Video Management System (BVMS), Bosch Divar IP 3000 and Divar IP 7000 video recording appliances, as well as 3rd party software solutions like Genetec.

Mike Guarino, our Bosch colleague in New England, took a minute to record a sample Forensic Search on pre-recorded surveillance video captured by a Bosch camera with onboard video analytics. In this example he chooses one of many criteria available to conduct a search:

In conjunction with the Bosch Integration Partner Program, partners like Genetec have incorporated smart Bosch camera technologies, including Bosch video analytics, into their software as we see in the example below.

Bosch Intelligent Video Analytics recognizes environmental conditions such as falling snow, swaying trees, fluttering flags, heavy rain, etc. and considers those conditions "normal" for the scene. Meanwhile, still searching for abnormal behaviors such as moving cars, pedestrians, or bicyclists coming or going.

The growing demand for more detail and the increasing number of network cameras has consequences. Skyrocketing amounts of data need to be viewed when looking for evidence or monitoring live. Bosch video analytics at the edge helps keep data manageable.

It adds metadata to add sense and structure to your video footage at the point of capture. This enables you to stream only what’s relevant, retrieve evidence quickly and simply, and trigger alarms when needed. This eliminates the need to process hours of video data, making it easier to manage than ever before.

To tailor your solution to your exact needs, Bosch offers two different types of video analytics: Essential Video Analytics and Intelligent Video Analytics. Learn more in the video below.
