To answer that, you have to consider both physical and cyber threats to our critical infrastructure. Our team headed off to northern Virginia to attend the Power Grid Resilience conference to learn more about the challenges to the industry.

On the physical security side of the equation, companies like Comnet, Bosch, and Protech are participating in the effort to improve the resilience of the power grid. Comnet is providing improved infrastructure solutions for network data communications. Bosch is providing smart video analytics in rugged camera systems from visible imaging to thermal imaging for long-range detection, even with camouflage in place.
