Bosch recently rolled out new tools for maintenance and management of one or more Divar IP all-in-one IP video appliances. In the video below, Brad Castillo and Mike Brewer discuss the new tools, how they benefit system owners and technicians, and provide an overview of the interfaces available for local and remote capabilities.
Most cameras in a video security system require a central video recorder to archive the footage they are capturing. These units are often complex to install and configure, adding extra time and costs to projects. The new DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 and 6000 recording units from Bosch bring all the advantages of a professional video recording and management system to meet the demands of small and mid-sized applications and is expandable.
A new DIVAR IP System Manager provides an intuitive user interface (UI), guiding installers through the initial installation and operation mode selection, so the system is up and running quickly and efficiently. Integrators can manage all installed software applications from the video recorder and perform upgrades efficiently to minimize downtime. The new DIVAR IP recording units are ideal building blocks for large distributed systems.
With the release of System Manager 2.0, the new DIVAR IP Remote System Management service is also available. Remote System Management is a new service customers can utilize under an annual agreement which provides insight into system health, inventory management, and update management tools via Remote Portal access.
Technical Notes
The install package for System Manager 2.0 is now available on the Bosch DownloadStore. Customers using DIVAR IP 44 and 64 AIO units should consider downloading and installing as it contains various functionality improvements/fixes. Version 2.0 provides support for Remote System Management and must be installed prior to utilizing the service.
Also available on the Bosch DownloadStore you can find a BVMS 11.1.1 patch System Manager package. This can be used via System Manager to install the currently available various version 11.1.1 patch content.
With the release of System Manager 2.0, the new DIVAR IP Remote System Management service is also ready for launch. Customers with DIVAR IP AIO 4000, 6000, and 7000 units may now utilize the service. License and pricing for these three families are now available.
DIVAR IP AIO units must be running System Manager 2.0 in order to utilize Remote System Management. Please refer to the Remote System Management Application Note for full instructions on how to connect DIVAR units to Remote Portal.
Following a final assessment of technical limitations with Windows Storage Server 2012, Bosch is no longer planning to offer DIVAR IP Remote System Management capabilities for the DIVAR IP AIO 71xx series units. Support for 72xx and 52xx series units is still planned for upcoming Remote System Management version releases.
