Reliable perimeter detection and quick response is critical to protecting a facility.
Our team executed a Proof of Concept demonstration that shows how multiple perimeter detection technologies integrated together create a high reliability, low/no nuisance integrated perimeter detection and video surveillance solution. (demonstration video further below)
While many facilities use a single form of perimeter detection, many more use two, three, or more combined systems to provide high reliability and low/no nuisance alarms. "Binding" these technologies into a "compound" event requires that more than one system be triggered in order to cause an alert or response. This eliminates slow response or no response to alarms.
The implementation of multiple perimeter detection systems also allows for redundancy in the event that one system is offline during repair or upgrade, or if there is a single system failure.
THE DETAILS:
Fixed Bosch IP cameras were used to create intelligent video anaytics scenarios within the fixed cameras that, when violated, would cause one of several nearby Bosch pan-tilt-zoom cameras to swing over to the Zone that was violated and capture more detail of the incident as well as track the movement of the violator until a guard response could be initiated.
Protech provided a Sorhea Solaris solar powered beam detection system to act as a combined detection trigger. This 3rd party system was easily integrated with the cameras into the Bosch Video Management System (BVMS).
