Our team traveled to Pittsburgh, home of the Security and Safety Things (S&ST) office in the US, to program several of our new INTEOX demo cameras and see first-hand the capabilities brought to fruition by loading problem-solving apps onto Bosch INTEOX cameras.
Once we had a chance to learn more during the hands-on workshop with Andrew and Casey, it became clear that adding apps to an INTEOX camera using the Bosch Remote Portal and the Security and Safety Things Device Management portal is far less complicated than we initially thought.
Bosch offers four INTEOX series cameras with several model options that allow you to purchase application-specific apps to run on the camera that can solve a variety of real-world challenges. Our team loaded apps that evaluate vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow, presence or absence of hardhats and reflective vests for construction sites, as well as license plate recognition (LPR) apps.
App developers on the S&ST platform can provide off-the-shelf apps as well as customized versions and even provide private-use apps for specific, proprietary applications. The S&ST business development and technical services team will work to coordinate the needs of the end user, integrator, and all other involved parties to create an ideal solution for the application.
Use Cases
The apps are purchased and loaded onto the INTEOX camera in much the same manner that useful apps are loaded onto a mobile phone. This is accomplished by using the Bosch Remote Portal and the S&ST Application Store to register, purchase, and load the apps.
