I've spent some time this week setting up a handfull of new laptops for a few of our outside sales representatives. With more processor capability, they'll be better armed to demo video management systems, 360 degree panoramic cameras with client-side dewarping, and intrusion detection user interfaces all on the same laptop.
QUESTION: How has your experience been with upgrading from Windows 8.x to Windows 10?
I had/have quite a learning curve to overcome. I've been happily working on the Windows 7 O/S for quite a while, however I'll be getting my laptop refreshed in the next few days as well. Hopefully right to Windows 10 and not via an upgrade path through Windows 8 to Windows 10.
Also, how are you handling new computers at workstations or command centers with security programs that aren't compatible with the newest Windows versions now that it's nearly impossible to get your hands on a copy of Windows 7? Are you seeing this across a variety of manufacturers, sporadically, or not at all?
Thanks in advance for your input!
