Most of the MidChes security solution design team met at the Bosch facility in Lancaster, PA to learn about the soon-to-be-released MIC IP 7000i Series cameras.

Sachin Khanna, Product Director of Moving Cameras at Bosch Security and Safety Systems, and a few members of the moving camera engineering team gave us a hands-on opportunity to experience the hardware and firmware improvements of the MIC IP 7100i Series.

**Highlights from the session included:**

- Anti-backlash hardware improvements which result in improved preposition accuracy to .05 degrees
- Anodized housing results in improved corrosion protection that meets the C5M corrosion resistance rating
- 4K version with optical stabilization
- Conductive coated window glass which eliminates ice and condensation
- Improved image clarity at extended zoom distances
- Camera Trainer on-board which enables Machine Learning unique object identification

**MIC IP starlight 7100i (1080p) Feature Highlights**

- <https://us.boschsecurity.com/en/search?lang=en&scenario=1&q=7100i&x=0&y=0>Starlight camera technology with excellent low-light sensitivity (color = 0.0047 lx) and High dynamic range (120 dB) (to see details in bright and dark areas simultaneously).
- Exceptional strength and ruggedness for any outdoor application including traffic monitoring (bridges, tunnels, or highways), perimeter protection, city surveillance, and mining.
- Built-in Camera Trainer to train the camera to recognize user-specified target objects, such as moving and non-moving objects, to alert operators of unusual scene activity.
- Edge intelligence with Intelligent Tracking and object detection even when the camera is moving
- Optional illuminator with multi-spectrum LEDs that distribute IR light uniformly in the field (up to 550 m (1804.50 ft)) to avoid dark spots or an over-illuminated scene

**MIC IP ultra 7100i (4K) Feature Highlights**

- UHD “4K” resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) @ 30fps, 12x zoom with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
- Edge intelligence with Intelligent Tracking and object detection even when the camera is moving.
- Optional illuminator with multi-spectrum LEDs that distribute IR light uniformly in the field (up to 300 m (984.25 ft)) to avoid dark spots or an over-illuminated scene.
