After nine months with Chesapeake and Midlantic Marketing (MidChes), Sam Ropollo has already established himself as the kind of teammate customers quickly learn to rely on. In a recent conversation with Tom Fontana, Sam shared that he brings more than two decades of experience across the security industry, having worked for integrators in roles spanning installation, service, engineering, and both pre-sales and post-sales support. That breadth shows up in how he works day to day: he enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and building practical solutions that help integrators and end users move projects forward.
What stands out most is Sam’s hands-on, “figure it out first” approach. When an integrator recently needed help programming door prop alarms, Sam built and tested the workflow on his own demo kit, then walked the technician through the setup step by step until the issue was resolved. It is a pattern Tom notes repeatedly: Sam is willing to get his hands dirty, speak the language of both technicians and sales teams, and support everything from lab work and equipment installs to field training, meetings, and manufacturer engagement. Whether he is diving into intrusion platforms like the G Series and B Series or collaborating with the broader MidChes team, Sam’s focus is consistent: be a practical resource, bring clarity to technical challenges, and help customers deliver systems that ultimately protect people.
