Demystifying Bosch Intrusion Detectors with Keegan

Written by Matt Golueke | Apr 5, 2023 7:46:32 PM

Bosch intrusion detectors have a LOT of technology in those tiny white boxes that get mounted to the wall and attached to an alarm panel. Keegan Kinslow from Bosch Security and Safety Systems took a few minutes with Steve Pennington to help us understand Bosch's TriTech, Field of View, and Anti-Mask technologies a little better. Watch the three short videos below >>

Part 1: Bosch TriTech - What it is & Why it Matters

Movements in an area need instant detection while ignoring false alarm triggers. Bosch TriTech detectors raise the bar when it comes to intrusion detection, and deliver excellent catch performance while creating fewer false alarms under a variety of environmental conditions. In order to provide consistent and accurate detection, they feature dual motion technology - a combination of PIR and microwave Doppler radar technologies with advanced signal processing.

Part 2: Detector Field of View

All Bosch motion detectors use high-quality optics to achieve the best coverage pattern for a monitored area. When supported by Bosch's unique First Step Processing technology, they can instantly respond to the very first step of a person within this area without producing false alarms from other sources. When an object crosses the detector’s field of view, the sensor detects a sharp increase in infrared energy and triggers an alarm.

Part 3: Anti-Masking

The Bosch Professional Series Anti-Mask detectors provide new technologies that improve detection of masking attempts. These detectors incorporate Multi-point Anti-mask with Integrated Spray (MANTIS) detection technology. MANTIS, combined with Bosch's Sensor Data Fusion technology, improves catch
performance and reduces false alarm and trouble conditions.
