Essential Video Analytics for Mid-Range Cameras at the Edge

IVA_camera_image.jpgThe growing demand for more detail and the increasing number of network cameras has consequences.

Skyrocketing amounts of data need to be viewed when looking for evidence or monitoring live. Video analytics at the edge helps keep data manageable. That means the processing occurs inside the security camera rather than at a server in a data closet.

Video analytics add metadata to add sense and structure to your video footage at the point of capture. This enables you to stream only what’s relevant, retrieve evidence quickly and simply, and trigger alarms when needed. This eliminates the need to process hours of video data, making it easier to manage than ever before.

To tailor your solution to your exact needs, Bosch offers two different types of video analytics: Essential Video Analytics and Intelligent Video Analytics. Essential Video Analytics will be offered in mid-range camera lines, the 6000 series, over the course of 2016 starting in July. Intelligent Video Analytics has been offered in high performance cameras, 7000, 8000, and 9000 series, for many years and will continue to be available.
