Keep Your Customers Happy: End Their Wait

No one likes to wait in line. No one likes to wait for help.

And business owners don't want to lose potential sales.

Using smart, affordable technology to provide faster assistance or eliminate wait lines can mean big money for all types of service businesses from banks to stores to movie theaters.

Imagine if you could use smart detectors to immediately inform your staff when guests or customers are waiting in a line, are staring at a shelf wondering about a product, or have entered a waiting room.

How do you compute the value of customer satisfaction, or dissatisfaction?

  • What does it cost if a customer leaves without making a purchase?
  • What does it cost if the wrong selection is made?
  • What if your staff doesn't arrive in time to make an alternate recommendation or upsell?
  • What if someone waits in line too long and doesn't come back again out of frustration? What if they tell their friends?
  • What is the penalty from the fire marshal if an exit is blocked?
  • What is the value of overall customer satisfaction?

More about the behavior recognition technology...

Bosch behavior recognition technology now allows security cameras to notify you or your staff in seconds when specific behaviors are occurring within your establishment that look like an unhappy customer experience is underway.

By using a simple interface, "hot zones" can be created to alert your team to specific customer behaviors that require immediate attention by your team.

In the examples below, Bosch shows us how you can use a behavior detection to alert supermarket staff that a line has grown a cart or two too long or count shoppers for use by your marketing department.

Bosch video detection technology can also be used to detect objects that are blocking walkways or emergency exits. Blocked access can mean inconvenince for customers as well as expensive safety violation penalties for blocking emergency exits. Likewise, vehicles blocking loading zones or fire lanes can mean inconvenience for customers and big problems for your business. • Detect multiple line crossing from single line up to 3 lines combined in a logical row
  • Detect objects traversing a route
  • Detect loitering in an area related to radius and time
  • Detect objects which are idle for a predefined time span
  • Detect removed objects
  • Count objects crossing a virtual line
  • Count objects within an area and alarm if a predefined limit is reached
  • Detect a certain crowd level in a predefined field

IVA.jpgBosch Intelligent Video Analytics perform all of the functions of Essential Video Analytics in a more robust fashion in more challenging environments, plus:

  • Detect specified motion direction and speed even in crowds (for example a person moving the wrong way in a one-way gate)
  • Detect objects that move contrary to the motion of all other objects in the scene, even in crowds
  • Take snapshots of frontal faces
  • Ideal for outdoor use or harsh environments

Bosch uses a camera as a detector. Inside of the camera, rules determine when an alert is sent to your staff. Check out this short video that explains how it works:
